Do you know Kairos? We borrow the name Kairos from the youngest son of the Greek supreme god Zeus. As the god of the fluidity of time and the right moment, he is the counterpart of Chronos, who is more concerned with measurable time. Kairos cares little for minutes, but all the more for inspiration and attention. Like how a day can feel like a week when you're enjoying it. A fitting namesake for our ambitions.

2021 — Prototype photoshoot
2021 - ExperimentingOur first tests with a new construction and alternative materials, on the way to a new kind of sofa.
2021 - First concept presentedAt Tolhuistuin Amsterdam we gathered reactions from the public.
2022 - Trade fair presentationsWe presented our sofa at Dutch Design Week and the VT Wonen fair.
2022 - First series deliveredThe very first Kairos sofas have found a home with a select group of proud pioneers.
2023 - Winner of Utrecht's circular innovation topAfter a nomination for "best sustainable product", now winner of the "Circular Innovation Top 20 Utrecht".
2024 - crowdfunded fauteuil introducedThrough successful crowdfunding, we developed and introduced an eighth module: the armchair.
2025 - introduction of reusable packaging Kairos has developed reusable transport packaging and no longer uses single-use materials.

Our mission is to radically transform the furniture industry into a sustainable one by developing and bringing innovative, durable furniture to market. We turn every interior into a more pleasant living environment.
